Upgrade Windows Vista Business To Ultimate

  1. Step 1

Start Windows Vista Business and log in to the administrator's account. If you are the only user on the computer then yours is the administrator's account (this is not true of PCs that are networked, as in an office).

  2. Step 2

Place the Windows Vista Ultimate DVD into the appropriate optical drive and wait for the disc to autorun. If you do not have autorun enabled, then you will need to select the Setup program from the DVD drive menu.

  3. Step 3

Wait for the Windows Vista Ultimate setup process to begin. This may take a few minutes while the software searches for key components to your PC, and checks your hard drive for errors.

  4. Step 4

Provide the Vista Ultimate serial key when prompted to do so. This unique key ensures that your copy of Vista Ultimate is genuine and also enables you to download and install updates whenever they are available.

  5. Step 5

Allow the Windows Vista Ultimate DVD to upgrade your copy of Vista Business. The process does not require your interaction and can take half an hour or more to complete.

  6. Step 6

Allow your computer to restart and complete the setup process. Your computer may restart more than once.
